Yaan J. Jang
I am a senior scientist at the University of Oxford, working on data science and computational biology. I am also a co-founder of a therapeutic start-up to accelerate developments of biomedicine using machine optimized artificial intelligence.
I am interested in developing cutting-edge artificial intelligence and their applications to biology, protein-based therapeutics, and statistical physics. My research has led to a better understanding of what evolutionary signatures are conserved in proteins and how they function in biological activities, how the next generations therapeutics can be shaped, and how physics-informed artificial intelligence benefits humanity.
I received my Ph.D. in bioinformatics and computational biology, and A.B./M.S. in computer science and electrical engineering.
