Yaan J. Jang

I am a senior scientist at the University of Oxford, working on data science and computational biology. In parallel, I am a co-founder of a therapeutic start-up dedicated to leveraging machine-optimized artificial intelligence for advancing biomedicine.

I am passionate about advancing cutting-edge artificial intelligence and its applications in biology, particularly in the realms of protein-based therapeutics and statistical physics. My research provided valuable insights into evolutionary signatures conserved in proteins and their roles in biological activities. I am dedicated to shaping the next generation of therapeutics and exploring how physics-informed artificial intelligence can benefit humanity."

I received my Ph.D. in bioinformatics and computational biology, and A.B./M.S. in computer science and electrical engineering.
